OKBET BALL SPORTS : Joe Dumars, the Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations for the Miami Heat, announced today that Miami Heat forward Caleb Martin has been suspended for one game without pay for inciting an on-court altercation by taunting Toronto Raptors center Christian Koloko and then tackling him into the spectator stands, and that Koloko has been fined $15,000 for grabbing Martin during the altercation.
For leaving the bench area and joining the brawl, Heat forward Nikola Jovic has been banned for one game without pay. Martin and Koloko were both called for a technical foul and dismissed after an altercation that started when they tangled up while competing for a rebound. On October 22nd, with 7:46 left in the third quarter, the event happened during the Heat’s 112-109 victory against the Raptors at FTX Arena.
The Heat will be hosting the Raptors once again on Monday, October 24 for Martin and Jovic’s suspension games.
